“Evander F** Up”: Mike Tyson Moves On From Evander Holyfield Trilogy

55-year-old Mike Tyson wants to step through the ropes again after a stellar comeback against Roy Jones Jr. in November 2020. However, he doesn’t intend to match up against former rival Evander Holyfield. Although Tyson vs Holyfield 3 has been touted by several matchmakers, ‘Iron’ appears to have moved on from the idea.

‘The Real Deal’ Holyfield suffered a horrific first-round knockout loss against Vitor Belfort in his returning fight on September 11. Several people criticized the idea of organizers allowing a 58-year-old to box. Although Holyfield claimed he will continue to box in a post-fight interview, Mike Tyson may not fight him.

In an interaction with ES News,Iron’ Mike said, “I wanna fight, I need another one.”

“Ni**a Evander [Holyfield] fu*** up. It’s [Lennox] Lewis now.”

Well, Tyson vs Lewis can be another intriguing exhibition at this point. Brit star Lennox Lewis had knocked out Mike Tyson back in their original clash in 2000. Akin to Tyson vs Holyfield, Mike Tyson infused sheer bad-blood during the build-up of his fight against Lennox Lewis. Coming in with his loud mouth and trash-talking, Tyson had even claimed that he would eat Lennox Lewis’ children.

Several people criticized Tyson’s statements, but it ultimately ended up proving beneficial at the Box Office. The fight grabbed successful PPV sales as Lewis silenced Tyson inside the ring. So, the rematch appears a viable option. It will also nurture Lewis and Tyson’s financial numbers. However, as ‘Lion’ hasn’t responded to the idea of facing Tyson, it’s still a fantasy fight.

Mike Tyson is still making matches

Following the footsteps of Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr, several people have returned to action. With the likes of Julio Cesar Chavez Sr and Jr, David Haye, Evander Holyfield, and many others, exhibition boxing is gaining a lot of momentum now. That said, Tyson has garnered call-outs from many people.

There’s no denying ‘Iron’ is still one of the biggest stars in boxing, which means he can bring in lucrative paydays. Hence, Evander Holyfield, Shannon Briggs, and even Logan Paul have desired to trade blows with the former heavyweight world champion. Nevertheless, Tyson appears to have set his eyes on Lennox Lewis.

Who do you think Mike Tyson can face next? Will it be Lewis?
