Flip or Flop star Tarek El Moussa reacts as ex-wife Christina Haack confirms engagement to Joshua Hall

HGTV star Christina Haack is celebrating her third engagement to partner Joshua Hall, and her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa has shared his congratulations for the pair.

The Flip or Flop star, who still works on the reality show with his former wife, apparently appeared surprised by the news after he was told about the update by the press on Monday.

Speaking to People magazine, he stated: ‘We ​​just heard [about the engagement,] but congratulations!’ 

The TV presenter’s fiancée, Selling Sunset star Heather Rae Young, added: ‘Wow, awesome! We just want nothing but happiness for [Christina and Josh] and nothing but happiness for the kids.

‘We’re looking forward to the next chapter of everyone’s lives.’

El Moussa and Haack were married from 2009 to 2017 and the former couple share daughter Taylor, 10, and five-year-old son Braydon.

Haack went on to marry TV host Ant Anstead in 2018 before the pair split in 2020. They share a two-year-old son, Hudson.

Following her divorce from Ant Anstead, the Christina on the Coast star decided to publicly announce her new relationship on social media on July 8.

According to US Weekly, the couple first met years earlier during a real estate conference before they reconnected this year.

Haack first sparked engagement rumors on August 16 before finally confirming the happy news on September 20.
