When is Black Friday 2021?

This year, Black Friday is happening on November 26th.

Americans will recognise that, as ever, is the day directly after Thanksgiving – Black Friday being as US tradition that’s grown in popularity in the UK over the last decade.

One thing to keep in mind is that Black Friday is anything but a day-long sale – in reality, you should look out for gaming chair deals as early as a fortnight before.

Indeed, some retailers roll out teaser-style sales as early as the beginning of November – but in general, the very best price drops start to appear during the week of Black Friday (commencing November 22 this year).

What gaming chair deals were there last Black Friday?

We saw a number of noteworthy price drops in gaming chairs in last year’s Black Friday sale.

One standout deal we saw was the £36.99 drop on the GTPlayer at Amazon, bringing it down from £155.99 to £119.98.

This was actually a gaming chair that our team has settle into and tried out first-hand – as you can read in our GTPlayer Gaming Chair review, this stood out for its ergonomic design and handy reclining options.

Currently £129.99 at Amazon, we’re excited to see whether the GTPlayer drops any further in price.

When is Cyber Monday 2021?

After a weekend-long lull, Cyber Monday follows directly on from Black Friday.

Originally, it was a day of deals that were only available online, hence the name.

But these days, you’ll rarely find any deals that aren’t available both in-store and online – especially since internet shopping truly boomed in the era of Covid.

Cyber Monday is now an opportunity for retailers to send out any final deals they have tucked away, and to further lower prices across products already on sale.

The dilemma for shoppers, when the see a deal during Black Friday, is to wait until Cyber Monday to see if it improves – but the danger is that the product sells out before then.
