Noel Fielding has been a beloved host of the Great British Bake Off since he joined the show when it moved to Channel 4 in 2017.

The comedian, alongside Matt Lucas, missed out on the 2020 Christmas specials due to being on paternity leave, but as the 2021 series kicks off he is back in the tent, offering some comedic relief to the bakers as they compete for the series title.

Noel floored fans when he hinted at his age midway through the 2020 series – with many flooding to Google to confirm they had heard him correctly.

But how old is Noel Fielding, and who is his partner?

Who is Noel Fielding?

Noel Fielding is a comedian, actor, artist, musician, and TV presenter from London.

Other than Bake Off, Noel is best known for creating and starring in the surrealist comedy show The Mighty Boosh alongside Julian Barratt – who has said he wants the show to return.

Noel has also appeared in Nathan Barley, The IT Crowd, AD/BC: A Rock Opera, and Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace.

He wrote and starred in two series of a solo show for Channel 4, Noel Fielding’s Luxury Comedy, between 2012 and 2014.

He was a team captain on the BBC Two music panel show Never Mind the Buzzcocks.

Noel is also the founder of the band Loose Tapestries, formed with Kasabian’s Sergio Pizzorno.

How old is Noel Fielding?

Believe it or not, Noel Fielding is 48 years old.

The comedian seems a lot younger with his wacky clothes and boyish humour.

Although, this starts to make sense when you remember that The Mighty Boosh began all the way back in 2004.

Who is Noel Fielding’s partner?

Noel Fielding’s partner is Radio X presenter Lliana Bird – aka Birdy.

As well as being a radio presenter, Lliana is a writer, actress, and co-founder of charities Help Refugees and The Kindly Collective.

She owns her own production company, and has made numerous appearances as a commentator on Sky and BBC News.

The pair have been together since they met in 2010. They live in their family home in Highgate, North London.

How many children does Noel Fielding have?

Noel has two little girls with his partner Lliana.

Dali (named after Noel’s favourite surrealist painter Salvador Dali) was born in spring 2018.

The couple’s second daughter, Iggy, was born in October 2020.
