Cody Rhodes Names Vince McMahon in His Mt. Rushmore of Pro Wrestling

Cody Rhodes maybe one of the primaries working to build AEW, however, WWE continues to remain a big part of who he is. Therefore, when he was asked about his Mount Rushmore of Wrestlers, it included Vince McMahon.

During a Bleacher Report AMA Session, a fan asked Rhodes about his Mount Rushmore names.

According to him, it’s WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, WWE Megastar The Rock, AEW President Tony Khan, and Wrestling Legend Dusty Rhodes.

“Vince, Dusty, The Rock, Tony.”

It doesn’t matter who says what, or if Cody Rhodes has his issues with The Big Man or the company, he gives credit where it’s due!

Brandi Rhodes named her Mount Rushmore of Wrestlers as well.

“Sherri Martel, Ms. Elizabeth, Mae Young, Madusa.”

Cody Rhodes revealed a touching memory from WWE WrestleMania

During the AMA session, The American Nightmare was asked about a wrestling memory involving his father. To Rhodes, this memory was from his very first WrestleMania when the wrestlers transitioned. And, The American Dream became Cody’s dad and The American Nightmare wasn’t Dusty’s son anymore.

“There’s so many so it’s fluid in my mind. Something I was most proud of was my dad was really adamant that he believed in me genuinely. Despite signs that I wasn’t. My first WM was my first singles match in front of 80K people and he took a picture of me. It was the first time the tide really turned where I wasn’t Dusty’s son but Cody’s dad and those moments were really exceptional. As proud of my dad as I was…”

Currently, Rhodes is back in AEW! He had taken a break from the company after Malakai Black mauled him during his speech, which could very well have been his retirement speech.

However, with some help from his co-star Rosario Dawson, Cody Rhodes returned to AEW and confronted Malakai Black. Well, it was less of confronting and more of attacking each other.

It seems like Rhodes and Black will pick up from where they left off. It’ll be interesting to watch how AEW builds the feud between the two former Superstars who are now trying to dominate the AEW roster.
