Strictly Come Dancing is only just getting started this year, but Dan Walker has revealed he’s already lost weight as a result of his intense training schedule.
The presenter has been working hard to learn his steps with dancing partner Nadiya Bychkova – so hard, in fact, that he’s already shed a third of a stone.
Dan was appearing on BBC Breakfast earlier today he told co-host Sally Nugent and spoke about his trim down.
Sally commented that he was ‘a little bit more tanned, and a little bit thinner’ as a result of rehearsals for the show.
‘I haven’t had any tan – maybe it’s the head injury from last week,’ he replied.
The 44-year-old went on to say: ‘I have actually lost, with this dancing business, I’ve lost a third of a stone already.’

He added: ‘My trousers are a little bit looser in the waist-based area.’
Practising has required so much from Dan that he’s even had to increase his diet.
‘I’ve been eating more food than I’ve probably ever eaten before. Yesterday I must have had four flapjacks! I’m like Flapjack Fred!’ he said.

The BBC presenter recorded a video with dancing partner Nadiya after previously expressing how grateful he was that she stayed with him at A&E when he went to hospital.
Before Strictly kicked off, Dan revealed on social media that he suffered a painful head injury after accidentally walking straight into a glass door – leaving him with a rather nasty bruise on his forehead.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday night at 7pm on BBC One.
