Tiger Woods NFT Collection Receives Overwhelming Response From Golf Fans

As you probably know, Tiger Woods is sitting out of the current season as he recovers from a solo car accident. However, the former world number 1 has found ways of keeping himself busy.

He recently collaborated with NFL star Tom Brady’s company Autograph to release his first ever set of NFT collection. Unsurprisingly, this turned out to be extremely popular with the fans and was sold out within minutes.

What exactly did Woods put up for sale?

Tiger Woods joined a long list of celebrities like Naomi Osaka, Simone Biles, and Tony Hawk to invest in NFT’s. Non-fungible tokens basically are types of data to store unique digital files that are not interchangeable. He dropped around 10,000 digital images priced from $12 to $100.

Here’s what Woods said in a statement: “The intersection of sports and technology is such an interesting space to me, and I’m thrilled to partner with Autograph as they lead the charge by ushering a new era of digital collecting. I’m looking forward to bringing fans closer to my memorable sports moments at an accessible price, and to the game I respect so much.”

Tiger Woods’ first collection is a major success

Understandably, fans across the globe were excited, and this showed in the way they responded. Within 10 minutes of the first 5000 units going live, they had sold every single piece. In order to buy, one has to wait in the waiting room and remain there until randomly selected to buy.

A lot of fans missed out on this opportunity due to the heavy number of buyers present. A similar scenario played out when Tom Brady released his first collection.

Tiger’s first NFT drop sold out quickly. 5,000 digital units of the carbon premier collectible was priced at $12 and was gone in about 10 minutes. It was a similar situation for Tom Brady’s first drop last month. There’s another TW drop at 4 PM if any folks are interested.

On the contrary, if you couldn’t get your hands on these, don’t fret! Another drop is scheduled at 4pm today. Moreover, the limited-edition drops on the 28th of this month, which will be signed by Woods himself!
