Married At First Sight UK star Luke Dawson appeared to end things with wife Morag Chichton in a dramatic teaser for tonight’s episode.

The couple have struggled throughout the experiment with tensions becoming apparent on their wedding day, when the bride said that she ‘didn’t get what she ordered’ from the experts.

Things have now reached boiling point during the homestays.

In an explosive teaser, they can be seen catching up with Morag’s pals, when she admits: ‘I just feel like running for the hills.’

To which her friend replies: ‘I just don’t know that it’s going to work,’ as he looked dejected across the table.

Speaking to the camera outside, the groom fumes: ‘I feel like an absolute mug.

‘I’m done.’

The pair have had a rollercoaster time on the show and hit a rough patch just hours into their honeymoon, when Morag told her new husband that he ‘wasn’t manly enough’.

They initially overcame their issues with the care home manager pulling out all the stops to impress his co-star, and publicly declared his affections at a dinner party in front of their castmates.

Giving a speech at the table, he explained that he had fallen in love – but didn’t get he reaction he hoped for.

Reflecting on the moment in a chat with Metro.co.uk, Luke shared his regrets of the scene, and confessed that he ‘probably went over the top’.

‘We were getting feelings for each other at this point of the show, so I was like I’m going to show it,’ he said.

‘It’s who I am. I wear my heart on my sleeve. What you see on the programme is what you get in real life. I am who I am.’

Voicing his regret, he added: ‘I wish I didn’t drop it because I was just excited, and I was definitely getting feelings. I’ve only been in love one and a half times before.

‘It was just a bit too quick. I wish I just didn’t get excited if I’m honest.’

Married At First Sight UK continues tonight at 9pm on E4.
