Rumors Suggest Mojang is Looking to Expand the Minecraft Universe Even Further

Minecraft is surely one of the most widely known and played games even after two decades since it first came out. Mojang Studios, the developers behind the successful title, have constantly added new things and gameplay features to keep the player base engaged.

However, the studio is looking to expand its lineup and might be working on a couple of new projects. As per Windows Central’s Jez Corden, there are currently two Minecraft-related projects being developed at Mojang, and no, it is not Minecraft or Dungeons.

Mojang is working on two unconfirmed game titles

Mojang is one of the very few versatile studios in the gaming industry that can undertake different genres and venture into unknown territories. Minecraft Dungeons is a notable example of this. But the studio has its fair share of disasters as well. Minecraft Earth failed to capture the heart and attention of the players. However, Mojang understands and has learned from its past blunders.

According to Jez Corden, “One thing I know for sure: There is more Minecraft coming. I know from trusted sources that Mojang has at least two all-new projects that aren’t Minecraft or Minecraft Dungeons, although I have no idea exactly what those games might look like. Perhaps we’ll discover that all of those pixel-style art posts were in fact teases for full-blown projects … or maybe not. One can hope, though.”

Mojang has been teasing players and fans with a plethora of new ideas on social media like a pixel-art platformer, a Pokemon-style RPG, and more. So it’s quite plausible that the studio might have a big announcement in the pipeline. However, nothing has yet been confirmed by Mojang about these two projects. Nonetheless, looking from the social media posts by the company, these appear to be a great idea that might be worth envisioning.
