“Never Lost Sight “: Rafael Nadal on being Instrumental in Transforming a Student’s Tennis Career

Rafael Nadal is one of the greatest tennis player of all time in the history of tennis. The former world number one holds 20 grand slams in his trophy room. Recently, the Spaniard has been in the news due to the announcement of his documentary series and podcast. The name of the show is Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar.

The show comprises of  four-episode series and eight-episode podcast. It was debuted on Prime Video and Audible on September 17 and is all about the Academy’s training approach for upcoming competitors. The show will purely center Rafael Nadal and his academy and will provide with all the insights of the academy.

The twitter account of Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar has been quite active lately and have been posting pictures and videos. While one such video showed how Nadal is giving advice to his rehab partner.

Emma Stauber of Germany is currently training at Rafa Nadal Academy. After recovering from a slight injury, the 18-year-old was back in action on the court. Rafael Nadal paid a brief visit to the German and spoke with her about her rehabilitation. The reason behind the visit was because Nadal and Stauber did their rehab together. Nadal praised Emma’s bravery and said,” The truth is that she has never lost sight of the fact that it is a part of life and accepted it with great attitude.”

Despite having a foot ailment, the Spaniard continues to encourage everyone at his academy. Nadal also talked on how injury is an important part of every player’s life and how to tackle it with a good mindset. “Rafa inspires me a lot,” the German stated in an interview with Rafa Nadal Academy.

Roger Federer to play a cameo in the documentary

Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer might be rivals on the court, but their off-court connection is incredible. The duo’s rivalry has always been completely professional and respectful. Due to injury concerns, both champions couldn’t participate at US Open 2021.

Roger Federer made a remarkable cameo in the documentary’s trailer. The Swiss laughed and said, “I really hope one day I could send my kids there and then pick them up a week later and ask them so how was it, we don’t want to go back.” He thinks his kids would reply “it was too hard for us.
