Nikita Mazepin Lends a Hand of Peace to Mick Schumacher With Heartwarming Gesture

Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin have had some rough moments during their time as teammates at Haas. Now being confirmed for the season ahead, Mazepin has taken steps to ensure they can get off to a fresh start.

The Russian driver has invited Schumacher to spend a few days in Moscow. While Team Principal Guenther Steiner isn’t happy he wasn’t invited, he is pleased to see his drivers are getting along.

The Haas boss was concerned about Mick‘s deteriorating relationship with Nikita. Fortunately, it seems like his drivers are trying to bridge the gap; Mazepin invited his German teammate to spend a few days in Moscow.

However, the Russian didn’t invite their team boss, Steiner.

As quoted by GrandPx.News, the Austrian jokingly said, “I’m just angry he didn’t invite me. No, I think it’s a nice gesture and I know he has some big boy toys there.

“I never said they shouldn’t be friends, I just always said they don’t have to be friends. But if they are, then of course I have no problem with it,” Steiner concluded.

How’s the Haas duo performing on the track?

The Haas drivers have failed to make an impact on the grid this season. As of now, both Schumacher and Mazepin have failed to secure points for the team, which has cemented Haas on the tenth spot in the team standings.

Last race weekend in Monza for the Italian Grand Prix, Mick finished fifteenth, while his Russian teammate had a DNF. However, they are well aware of the opportunity that is available in Sochi for the Russian Grand Prix.
