How Meghan Markle is morphing into a Kardashian with near-identical outfit choices during New York tour

MEGHAN Markle may be married to a prince but it appears as though she is taking style inspiration from America’s own ‘royal family’, the Kardashians. 

The Duchess of Sussex, 40, is currently embarking on a whirlwind mini-tour in New York with Prince Harry, and appears to have taken a leaf from the fashion book of Kris Jenner’s clan.

Meghan and Harry are embarking on a three-day US “adventure” for their first public appearance since the birth of their daughter Lilibet in June.

We first saw Meghan step out in a black dress with a tan an all-black turtleneck dress, along with a tan-coloured coat.

Then, as she arrived at the One World Trade Center Observatory, she wore an all-black ensemble, with black trousers and a black turtleneck top.

We also saw her in a luxurious red £4,275 Loro Piana cashmere coat and matching £1229 pants at Harlem’s PS 123 Mahalia Jackson school.

All three looks appear remarkably similar to sleek, pared-down outfits worn by Kim, who is the same age as Meghan, and the oldest Kardashian sister, Kourtney, 42.

From identical outfits to viral Christmas cards and scandal-filled families, it’s not the first time Meghan and Kim appear to have been morphing into each other over the years.

They also live close to one another, after Meghan and Harry moved to their new £11m Californian mansion.

Even former Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan dubbed Meghan the “new Kim Kardashian”.

Meghan’s family have been in the spotlight since she began dating Harry and, just like Kim, she has had to deal with a fair few scandals.

Her father Thomas has given a series of damning interviews about her, claiming she has shunned him — while also staging paparazzi photos of himself.

The Kardashian family have allowed every aspect of their lives to play out for the world to see, from divorces to cheating exes, with each being covered by their reality TV show.

Despite that, Kim insists she sympathises with the Sussexes’ pleas for privacy.

In a television interview, she said: “I can definitely empathise with their need for having a secure, safe place.”

Both Meghan and Kim have seen their profile rocket overnight after tying the knot with their super- famous husbands.

Fashion stylist Lucas Armitage told Fabulous the duchess has shunned her “uncomfortable royal uniform” and has now returned to her pre-palace Californian wardrobe.

Speaking to Fabulous, Lucas said: “She never fully seemed comfortable with the modest dresses and structured hair that replaced her previous easy breezy style LA vibe.

“Sure, Meghan played by the rules and looked immaculately turned out, but her new royal style seemed such a departure from her old life I always wondered if she actually enjoyed wearing the clothes or if they were just her royal uniform.”
