“I Have No Problem With Tito Ortiz”- Jon Jones and Georges St-Pierre Laud Anderson Silva’s Boxing Victory

Jon Jones and Georges St-Pierre recently appeared at the UFC Hall Of Fame induction ceremony. ‘Bones’ and ‘Rush’ are considered to be two of the greatest fighters in the history of the UFC along with the Brazilian legend Anderson Silva. Both Jones and St-Pierre were full of praise for Silva as ‘The Spider’ has made an incredible transformation to boxing.

After beating former world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in his return to the squared ring. Silva has taken out the former UFC light-heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz in a devastating manner. Both St-Pierre and Jones have been amazed by the former UFC middleweight chmapion.

What an inspiring performance, I, myself, was very skeptical. I was afraid for him when he fought Chavez because Chavez is a real champion in boxing and he took him out of his comfort zone. It’s to the same level of his best performance of MMA. He did it in boxing. It was just incredible,” said St-Pierre at the recent UFC Hall Of Fame Gala. (h/t MMAJunkie.com)

GSP vs Silva was a fight that fans wanted to see for a while. However, due to many reasons, it never came to fruition actually.

Jon Jones praises Anderson Silva

Another man fans wanted to see ‘The Spider’ fight was Jones. While Silva fought Jones’s bitter rival Daniel Cormier, he never crossed paths with ‘Bones’. Nevertheless, Jones was absolutely stunned by Silva’s transition to boxing.

Anderson Silva’s boxing match was beautiful. I have no problem with Tito Ortiz, but I love Anderson. I was so proud of him, to see him still hitting hard and just looking great. Still an inspiration, still inspiring me to this day. So thank you, Anderson,” said Jones.

I just hope he will retire on top and not end his new boxing career like in UFC. At the end it was kind of sad. I wish him the best of luck and I’m always a fan. I really enjoy watching him fight. As a fan, I want him to keep going, but as a human being, nobody can beat time. I just hope he’s healthy, happy and wealthy in everything and can take care of himself,” he added.

Silva, Jones, and St-Pierre are considered to be three of the greatest fighters to ever grace the UFC Octagon. So, it’s great to see the mutual respect between them.
