iPhone 13: How to use Photographic Styles and switch between them
APPLE has added a clever new feature that instantly livens up your photos.
The new iPhone 13 offers Photographic Styles – special “filter-style” camera presets that make your pictures look better.

You choose them before taking a photo, giving your images a fresh and different look.
The feature is only available on iPhone 13 right now, so if you don’t have one then you’ll miss out.
What are the iPhone 13 Photographic Styles?
There are five Photographic Styles in standard.
First up is Standard – the default iPhone option that should work best for most situations.
Then there’s Rich Contrast, which promises “darker shadows, richer colours and strong contrast” for a dramatic look.

Third is Vibrant Style, which offers “wonderfully bright and vivid colours” for what Apple describes as a “brilliant yet natural look”.
Fourth is Warm Style, adding golden undertones for a much warmer photo.
And fifth is the opposite of that – Cool Style – with blue undertones for a colder feel.
How do you choose Photographic Styles on iPhone 13
When you first open the Camera on your iPhone 13, you’ll be asked to choose a Photographic Style.
It’s probably worth sticking with Standard initially, so you get a feel for the usual style of photos.
However, note that you can’t change Styles after you’ve taken a photo.
If you want to try a different Style, you need to change your settings before taking a snap.
There are two ways to do this.
1. First open the Camera app and choose Photo2. Then swipe up from the word Photo3. Tap on the icon that looks like several squares4. From there you can swipe left or right to choose a Style
Alternatively, you can go into Settings > Camera > Photographic Styles to change your chosen mode.
Once you’ve selected a Photographic Style, you’ll see it appear in the top-right of the Camera app.
You can tap that to change your Style at any time.
