Giovanni Pernice has made it to the Strictly Come Dancing final three times, however the pro dancer believes this year could be his year to win.

The class of 2021 has been announced with all of them setting eyes on the glitterball trophy.

This year’s line-up includes singer Tom Fletcher, Tilly Ramsay and Rose Ayling-Ellis, who is partnered with Giovanni.

The 26-year-old is making show history as Strictly’s first deaf contestant, and her partner Giovanni has a good feeling Rose will help him get his hands on the sparkly prize.

Speaking to OK! magazine, the 31-year-old dancer said: ‘I dream of lifting the Glitterball trophy every single night! I think, one day it will happen.”

‘I’m putting it out there, we’re going to win, but I’m always so positive and then I get to the final and somebody else wins.

‘It’s not fair, is it?’

Rose responded and said: ‘I want to win for Giovanni.

‘If I work hard, maybe he will get his dream. And I will get my dream, too.’ No pressure Rose.

Giovanni has made it to the final three times in his five year journey on Strictly, his first being with actress Georgia May Foote in 2015, then with radio presenter Debbie McGee in 2017 and then with singer Faye Tozer in 2018.
