“Look, I played with Antonio. And I really like him, we have a great connection. He has a high football IQ. He’s extremely talented. And I feel like I can count on him. And we need to have a personal relationship, Antonio, and I and we do. And the last thing Antonio wants is to let me down, and I don’t want to let him down. And I think when I’m around other great players, that’s great motivation.”

“If they’re bringing their best, I’ve got to bring my best. And Antonio had a relationship with Bruce. Our head coach really liked Antonio, he made the ultimate decision to say, ‘Look, and I’m not going in there to tell anyone what to do’. I’m not. My job is quarterback, I’m not there to tell coaches what to do….I think that I can really help here. So if we choose, if you guys choose to bring him in, I’m all for it. And I’m going to do everything I can to help you make it successful. And I think that’s what my role is, I don’t want to be the general manager, I don’t want to be the head coach, I want to do my job.”

“But when it comes to my job, I want to support the things that they’re trying to accomplish too. And again, that just comes from communication with myself and Bruce, myself and Jason Licht, who’s our GM and, you know, I think that’s how you get things done,” Brady said in the interview.
