“I Be Worth Billions One Day”- US Olympic star Fred Kerley Makes A Bold Statement After Track Success

US Star athlete Fred Kerley took to Twitter to make a bold statement on Saturday, saying that he will be worth billions one day. The athlete has recently won his 3rd consecutive Diamond League.

The athlete won the 100m finale on 22nd September in Switzerland, becoming the first male athlete in league history to win Diamond Trophies in the 100m and 400m.

Previously, Karley had won the silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2021.

The Diamond League win was his 3rd consecutive victory; he had previously won the 100m in Brussels on Sept 3 and the 200m in Paris on August 28. The former National Champion set the time at 9.87 seconds, followed by Andre De Grasse at 9.89 seconds.

Fred Kerley Aims To Keep Making History

Known for his confident attitude, Fred Karley says that he is glad to finish the season strong and wants to keep making history. 

“I still have work to do but I cannot complain. If these guys do well, I need to do well. I’m glad to finish this season out strong. The target for the next season – to keep making history. I won my first Diamond League here, I won my second Diamond League here so I am pleased and happy about Zurich. Now, I have two more races to finish out the season.”

The athlete had also previously tweeted “Problem is I will not crash” indicating that this was his time and he was not going to back down at any cost.

Kerley is known for his motivational tweets, which he keeps telling himself; a boost for himself. Kerley had started running professionally in 2017 at the age of young age of 22. Earlier Kerley used to compete in the 400 meters, but he changed to the 100m after the pandemic.

His personal best of 9.84 at the Tokyo Olympics, makes him the 15th fastest man in the world, also getting him his Olympic medal. 

Kerley is one of only 3 men along with Michael Norman and Wayde Van Niekerk to go sub 10 seconds in 100m, sub 20 seconds in 200m, and sub 44 seconds in 400m.
