‘Ready to Get Back’:Stephen Curry Opens Up on Following Klay Thompson’s Road to Recovery

Klay Thompson has been out of action for two seasons now. However, it seems like we might get to see him back alongside his teammates sometime soon. He missed the 2019-20 season due to an ACL injury and, after recovering successfully, suffered an Achilles injury, further ruling him out for another season. Nevertheless, Klay’s rehabilitation is going in the right direction and his imminent return has Stephen Curry and the rest of the team celebrating with joy.

Stephen Curry, a part of the Splash Brothers duo, is looking forward to playing alongside Klay Thompson this season. The Splash Brothers have won three NBA titles and played in five NBA Finals together.

Sons of former NBA stars, Steph and Klay have broken several records together and Warriors fans are set to watch this lethal duo make history again this season. Stephen Curry recently opened up on the outcome of Klay’s return to action.

Stephen Curry excited about Klay Thompson’s return

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry recently appeared in an interview on ‘Brother From Another. During the interview, Steph was asked if he was following Klay’s recovery and if he’s excited about the possibility of Klay’s return. To this, Steph answered that he’s ‘watching Klay’s journey’.

“I’ve been watching his journey over the last two years. Like last November, when we heard he tore his Achilles it was a gut punch because you know how hard he worked to get back from the ACL. It was going to be another year to get back and, like I said, he’s been bright and he’s in good spirits. He’s ready to get back on the floor,” Steph said.

“There’s so many memories of what he is capable of doing and what he’s accomplished. We just want him to be healthy. He wanted to be out there no matter how long it takes him for him to get back to 100. And him on the floor at whatever percentage is good enough for us.”

The ‘Splash Brothers’ will hopefully reunite again this season. However, the exact date of Klay’s return is not known. Still, there is a lot of optimism surrounding the 31-year-old guard’s comeback. Curry broke down to tears last season when he got to know about Klay’s injury. This shows how close the two are on and off the court.

Klay hasn’t played at the Chase Center, the Warriors’ new home from the last two seasons. It would be great to watch Klay make his Chase Center debut this season in front of Warriors fans.
