Denny Hamlin Seizes Victory at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway

On Sunday, the NASCAR Cup Series race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway concluded with Denny Hamlin clinching his maiden win at the track. Until now, the highest he had ever finished was third, which he achieved on multiple occasions. It is honestly great to see Hamlin back on the top step, especially after his last race at Vegas.

Speaking after the race, he said, “So happy for our FedEx office team. Joe Gibbs Racing just gives us great race cars. That’s what I’m so proud of, to drive for those guys.

“It feels so good to win at Vegas, last couple of times I’ve been so close. Just didn’t have the right brakes, but they dialed the car in great and great to hold those guys off.”

It was a great day in the office for the Joe Gibbs Racing drivers, apart from Christopher Bell; they locked out three of the Top 4 positions in the race. Only Hendrick Motorsports’ Chase Elliott separated Hamlin from Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr, respectively.

Hamlin also spoke about the impact of this win in the Playoff battle. Over here, he will be able to rest easy, knowing that he is already through to the next Playoff round. He continued, “So happy to not have to worry about the next two weeks. But, you know, I’m a professional and I’m going to work just as hard each and every week to win.”

What this means is that Hamlin can kick back at Talladega and at the Charlotte Roval. Meanwhile, the rest of his rivals will have to sweat it out until another Playoff driver can win the next race. Then, they can relax and watch the fun unfold at the Roval, which marks the final race of the Round of 12.
