“He Is a Hard Worker”- Claressa Shields Asks Fans To Support Jon Jones in His Tough Time
Former UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones got inducted to the UFC Hall Of Fame last week for his 2013 fight against Alexander Gustafsson. However, Jones was the center of some major controversy on the same night. Former boxing world champion and now PFL fighter, Claressa Shields has come out in Jones’s support recently.
Shields happens to be a teammate of Jones. She has been training with ‘Bones’ at the Jackson-Wink MMA for quite a while now as she made to look her professional debut. Judging by her first fight, training with one of the greatest fighters of all time had certainly helped her evolve.
“I know Jon’s a great guy. I don’t know what happened when he was in Vegas. People make stuff up, hat a lot on him,” said Shields recently.
“I kinda hope people support and pray for him instead of being so judgmental or whatever. Jon’s a great guy, he loves his wife, he loves his family. He’s all round nice guy and he is a hard worker. So, I don’t know what happened in vegas..,” she added further.

Shields will be returning to action next month. She has her next fight scheduled for October 27th. She has also revealed that she is looking to enter the PFL cage once more this year, preferably in December.
What’s next for Jon Jones?
Jones hasn’t fought since his UFC 247 win against Dominick Reyes. At his recent appearance at the UFC red carpet, Jones announced that he is looking to make his debut at the UFC’s heavyweight division by 2022.

However, if the recent incidents involving him change those dates by any means, remains to be seen. But he has his teammate Shields backing him up all the way.
