The Golden State Warriors are eagerly awaiting the return of their second Splash Brother Klay Thompson. It’s been almost two years of not seeing Thompson on the court and finally, it seems like he’s making a comeback.
During the 2019 NBA Finals, Klay Thompson suffered a major ACL injury against the Toronto Raptors. Ever since he’s missed the 2019-20 season and the one after that. The world watched Stephen Curry and Klay Thomson rule the league for several years, however, it hasn’t been the same lately.

Latest update on Klay Thompson’s game
It’s time for some good news for the Dubs team. Klay Thompson is expected to return by the end of this year though he’ll be missing the start of the 2021-22 regular season. Warriors management hasn’t announced a date for the same, but the fans are excited to hear about the developments on his injury.
In a recent press conference, the 5-time NBA All-star elaborated on the current status of his game. He told the reporters – “I can make a lot of jump shots, pretty good in defensive side. My timing’s a little off, but it’s also been two years. So, I anticipate, hopefully, in the next four weeks, play 5-on-5. It should be up from there.”
Klay is yet to play a 5-on-5 that he hasn’t stepped into for quite some time. However, the progress sounds optimistic from the key player himself.
Golden State Warriors are expected to make a comeback
Steve Kerr’s team ended the last season early as they weren’t able to reserve a berth in the NBA playoffs. They got defeated in the Play-ins despite Steph Curry giving his all throughout the year.
Nevertheless, the hopes are high amongst fans and the league as the Warriors are looking to make a suitable comeback next season. The last time Thompson was playing, he averaged 21.5 points during the 2018-19 season. The 3-time NBA champion is coming back to form and that itself feels like a happy atmosphere in GSW.
Coming back from a two-year injury, all eyes will be on Klay. His shooting coupled with Steph Curry and Draymond Green looks like the old days of glory for the Warriors. Can GSW get back on track with Klay Thompson’s return? Let us know in the comments.
