Bob Arum Explains Why Deontay Wilder Has a Chance of Beating Tyson Fury

Deontay Wilder will come across his toughest test in the form of Tyson Fury at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on October 9. The former heavyweight champion will look to avenge his maiden loss from February 2020 and will also try to regain the lost WBC world title.

However, ‘The Gypsy King’ appears to be the favorite, especially after the lopsided win in the rematch. But Tyson Fury’s promoter Bob Arum believes Wilder can bring in sheer toughness to the table. In a chat with IFL TV, The Top Rank CEO explained why Deontay Wilder is still a tough fight for Tyson Fury.

“That’s not gonna be an easy fight. Because Wilder after experience, seeing that tremendous loss to Tyson Fury is going to be a very dangerous opponent for Fury on October 9,” said Bob Arum.

Wilder has expressed a similar mindset in the build-up to this fight. With no trash talking, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ has explained himself in very rare cases and has vowed to take out his opponent via KO. Having fought two battles against Tyson Fury, Wilder understands his rival to the core.

Hence, the trilogy fight can witness the heavyweight gladiators in their best form. While Fury will look to go 2-0 and leave no doubts, Wilder will look to be as dangerous as he can and level the scores.
