Former WWE superstar Bobby Fish is set to make his AEW Dynamite debut next week.

The two-time NXT Tag Team Champion, who was released from the company in August before recently signing with MLW, is set to break down the Forbidden Door after challenging Sammy Guevara to a TNT Title match.

In the main event of Wendesday’s episode of All Elite Wrestling’s flagship show, Guevara beat Miro to take the gold, and Fish didn’t wait long to make a statement.

Taking to Twitter, he wrote: ‘I’d like to congratulate the new TNT Champion [Sammy Guevara] and be the first to challenge him for that title. Ready to walk through the forbidden door!’

After Dynamite, TNT broadcast the premiere episode of reality show Rhodes to the Top, and Guevara actually answered the challenge during an ad break.

He accepted Fish’s offer, and it seems the pair will do battle next week for the TNT Championship.

I’d like to congratulate the new TNT Champion @sammyguevara and be the first to challenge him for that title. Ready to walk through the forbidden door! @AEWonTNT

Bobby will be appearing on the same show as his former Undisputed Era teammate Adam Cole, who made the jump to AEW at All Out last month.

He quickly aligned himself with the Elite, and defeated Jungle Boy on last night’s show.

It’ll be interesting to see what interaction, if any, Cole and Fish have next week given their history both in WWE and beyond.

Meanwhile, after announcing his MLF debut for the Opera Cup, Fish admitted he has ‘an extra chip’ on his shoulder following his WWE exit.

He told Sports Illustrated: ‘There were so many positives from time in NXT, and I was able to accomplish that with three of my best friends in the industry.

‘It’s really humbling to think of all we did, and to experience that with them was very special. As for right now, having an extra chip on my shoulder now isn’t necessarily a bad thing for me at all.’
