“Piece of S**t” – Kyle Busch Fumes at Rival NASCAR Team

If we’re being totally honest, it is not particularly difficult to get on the bad side of Kyle Busch. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver finished third on home soil at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway earlier this week. Although he was relatively happy with the team’s performance, he was a bit annoyed with how his race panned out.

During the post-race interview, the 2015 and 2019 Cup Series champion vented his frustration. This was largely in reference to an on-track incident with a lapped car. However, those were a little bit tame, compared to his feelings a few minutes earlier. He raged on the radio, “I got into the fence again. … Piece of s***, Rick Ware motherf*****.”

Admittedly, Busch’s fury was understandable, as racing at home is always special to any driver. To make matters all the more gutting, Sunday’s race was a milestone moment for him and his older brother, Kurt Busch. Apparently, Kyle was celebrating his 600th Cup Series start and Kurt was celebrating his 750th.

How did Kyle Busch perform in the race?

When the race kicked off, the #18 driver started on the edge of the Top 10. Before long, he was steadily making inroads on the leaders and stayed there for the entire first stage. Kyle Busch even got embroiled in a fantastic duel with JGR teammate Denny Hamlin and Hendrick Motorsports’ Kyle Larson.

During Stage 2, he stuck to the leaders like glue and finished just behind Hamlin. However, in the third stage he got shuffled down the order during the green-flag pit stops. Luckily, Kyle Busch was able to claw his way back up to take a third-place finish. Unfortunately, he had a brief tangle with the lapped car of Cody Ware.

Apparently, Ware got sandwiched between the JGR pair of Busch and Martin Truex Jr. Around that time, the teammates were racing for third with 25 laps to go. Busch moved around the outside of Ware and all seemed fine until the #51 car slid up and pushed him into the outside wall.
