United States Grand Prix 2021 Set to Break F1 Fan Attendance Record

After a year’s hiatus, the United States Grand Prix is back on this year’s Formula One calendar. An exciting thing about the 2021 US GP is that it is sold out. With restrictions being eased for the COVID-19 pandemic, it is no surprise that fans from the States are excited about the race.

However, fans will have to be patient, as the next race on the calendar is the Turkish Grand Prix in Istanbul. Additionally, with a few weeks off, the F1 community can’t wait for the drivers to zip around the Circuit of the Americas.

The United States Grand Prix will be packed for this year’s race

Last year, fans weren’t allowed to attend the race due to the pandemic. However, as this year the world reopens, there have been spectators during the Grand Prix weekend. During the 2020 season, the US Grand Prix was canceled, as there were travel restrictions. However, it is back for this season, and fans can’t wait.

According to Sports Business Journal, 360,000 fans will be in attendance for the Grand Prix, the most there have ever been since 2012. There is no doubt that fans wanted to see the next chapter in the rivalry between the two title contenders – Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton.

Can Hamilton redeem himself at the Circuit of the Americas?

The last time the F1 paddock was at the US Grand Prix was back in 2019. Mercedes were the team that was victorious, but not at the hands of Lewis; Valtteri Bottas drove the Silver Arrows to victory.

With the title fight getting intense every passing week, Hamilton would aim to come out on top and defeat his arch-rival, Verstappen. However, before they battle it out in the Circuit of the Americas, they will face each other in Istanbul for the Turkish Grand Prix.

Nevertheless, fans are excited as Formula One returns to the United States this year. What are your predictions for the much-awaited race? Let us know in the comments below.
