Lindsey Weaver Is Hilariously Spot On With Her Emma Talley Impression and Draws a Response

Lindsey Weaver is currently tied-2 at the ongoing Bank of Hope Founders Cup. However, she recently thanked fellow American Emma Talley for giving her some crucial putting advice.

Did you know Weaver also does a mean impression of the latter? Yes! While crediting her for help with putting, Weaver also showed the world her insanely accurate impression of Talley.

Lindsey Weaver has a spot-on impression of Talley

In a post-round interview, she revealed how she can actually imitate Talley’s accent. Very dramatically, she repeated how Talley asked her to bring her hands forward on her putter.

She says, “Oh, I have a pretty good Emma accent. I’ve been around it for years, so, okay. ‘Your hands are just so far back! Like you need to put your hands forward. They’re so far back. I’ve never seen you that far back.”

On doing as asked, she says, “And so I just, moved them forward, yeah. And then I would move them forward and she’d go, ‘more, more, more!’ and I’m like, Oh my god!” Emma Talley saw the humor in this and replied, saying, ,”Lolol.”

Not only did she nail the impression but also her putting! With the back nine left, she is T-2 with German Caroline Masson. And on the final day of the $3 million purse championship, Korea’s Ko Jin-Young currently leads the leaderboard. Playing 15-under par, she is a spectacular five strokes ahead of second-place Weaver.

What’s next for Weaver?

In the race to the CME globe, a total of 60 golfers make it. However, currently, Weaver sits on the 84th spot. Prior to the Founders Cup, she made public her wish to do well over the weekend in order to seal her spot at the prestigious cup.

She said, “If I can have a good week and finish this week and secure (a spot) in the top 80, that would be great. Make CME, who knows… I’m trying to play my best and not think about it. I think this is my last tournament of the season, so I am just happy to be here.”

Moreover, she will no longer compete as Lindsey Weaver. She is all set to get married to her long-term fiancé and Korn Ferry Tour player Zach Wright in December.
