Anthony Davis Confirms When Lakers’ Big Three Will Make Their Much Awaited Debut
Last season, the Brooklyn Nets shocked the league when they formed their iteration of the big three. This season, the Lakers have followed suit as they have added a fellow superstar in former MVP Russell Westbrook.
Given how dominant the duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis has been, imagining an addition like Westbrook in the lineup makes the Lakers one of the best teams on paper. Not only is the team star studded, they also have an able supporting cast.
Although the big three have had multiple practice sessions with each other, we haven’t seen the trio in the pre-season till now. With four pre-season games already over, the Lakers only have a couple of games remaining before their regular season game begin.

Anthony Davis confirms Lakers’ big three debut against Warriors
The Lakers so far have played four pre-season games so far. Although we have seen the duo of Westbrook and Davis play together and LeBron and Brodie featuring together, we haven’t seen the big three till now.
After their fourth consecutive pre-season loss though, Anthony Davis confirmed that the big three will feature in the upcoming pre-season game against the Warriors. AD also confirmed that he will indeed play as the center with Carmelo Anthony potentially starting for the team.
Anthony Davis says him, LeBron and Russell Westbrook will all play together for the first time in Tuesday’s preseason game against Golden State. AD added that he’ll be playing the 5 with that group.

This is certainly big news for Lakers’ fans. While their new signing, Russell Westbrook has looked rusty, it will be interesting to see how the new Lakers’ big three mesh on the court.
Given how ball dominant LeBron James is, can he co-exist with a mercurial guard like Westbrook. With the regular season only a couple of weeks away, the game time is an absolute necessity for the big three to build some cohesion.
Davis also has a new role as he will now primarily play as the center, meaning that his defensive assignment will increase significantly. The Lakers’ big three have all the factors to be successful but more the playtime they get, the better they will be.
Given the amount of hype surrounding the big three, it will surely be interesting to see how they perform against the Warriors. What are your expectation of the trio of Bron, AD and Brodie? Will they be able to win a championship?
