Four signs Brian Laundrie was ‘addicted’ to demonic world from twisted books & chilling art before Gabby Petito’s murder

BRIAN Laundrie’s social media feeds are brimming with strange artwork and creepy messages that sleuths believe could offer clues to his state of mind.

Months before he embarked on an ill-fated cross-country road trip with his murdered fiancée Gabby Petito, he was sharing his love of haunting pictures, twisted novels, and witchcraft-inspired pages.

Brian Laundrie is being hunted by cops and hasn’t been seen for weeks

Ever since Gabby was reported missing on September 11 and later found dead, internet sleuths have trawled through Laundrie’s social media pages as they tried to assist FBI investigators in their probe.

And reality TV detective Dog the Bounty Hunter claims he was shocked at the disturbing posts he witnessed on Laundrie’s social media profiles.

He claims the posts offer a window into Brian – and suggest he may have become twisted by the dark side.

Dog said: “A killer is made, and he is built, to be a killer. He built himself to be that by looking at the dark side stuff.”

He added: “This is what happens when your kid is looking at those kinds of things, it catches on, and it’s demons and it’s blood and it’s this and it’s that, look what that led to.”

Sinister artworks, a creepy Pinterest page, and haunting novels all feature on Brian’s online presence.

The fugitive also suggested his own love of “nyctophilia” – which is defined as finding relaxation and comfort in the darkness.

Armchair detectives have uncovered a drawing that appears to show a man wearing a wolf mask holding a blood-soaked knife.

The character’s trousers and jacket are covered in splatters as he leans menacingly forward.

In the Instagram post from July 2020, Laundrie appeared to share a phone number linked to the game Hotline Miami.

Calls to the number reveal a strange answering machine message in which an eerie voice talks about “marching into the future”.

The game is described on gaming site Steam as “high-octane” and “overflowing with raw brutality, hard-boiled gunplay, and skull crushing close combat.”

Another post from July 2020 is captioned: “Grim Reaper leading sheep to the slaughter” and shows a herd of sheep surrounded by ghoulish figures wielding scythes.

Some of the reapers have been carved into mousetraps and outlined in red.

A drawing, which Laundrie says was crafted with pen and watercolor, shows Frankenstein’s monster chained to a chair made of rock and wood.

In the black and white image, the monster has shackles around his ankles, feet, and neck.

The fugitive shared several images of the demonic comic book character Hellboy across his social media platforms.

Laundrie, who is a fan of comic books, sketched the Simpsons’ characters Itchy and Scratchy in what appears to be an innocent set of cartoon drawings.

But, underneath the drawing of the cartoon, a caption reads: “This was a fun one. I wanna give them little bodies with blood spraying from their necks, a lot of gore, maybe an axe or chainsaw.”

Dog the Bounty Hunter, who has been searching for the missing fugitive for weeks, said what he and his wife Francie found on social media was “absolutely terrifying”.

‘ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING’

He told The Sun: “There are pictures of demonic angels standing there with the sword, and the throat bleeding. There is blood squirting from their eyes.”

The bounty hunter said when Francie saw the chilling artworks they gave her “goosebumps”.

Dog said that his team aims to build a profile when they’re trying to catch a fugitive, homing in on their interests and hobbies.

The bounty hunter wildly claimed that Laundrie could be a “serial killer”.

He said: “I’m thinking more and more about him being maybe a serial killer, not just a killer of Gabby. The books he read are unbelievable.”

Dog recalled that he would get “mad” at his kids for reading the Dungeons and Dragons stories as he’s a believer in Jesus.

The reality TV star claimed: “A couple of the books that he’s been reading are 10 times worse than Dungeons and Dragons. This kid, Brian has taken those books, obviously to heart.”

Internet sleuths uncovered Laundrie’s apparent interest in the haunting tales.

‘CHILLING NOVELS’

The fugitive wrote in an Instagram post that he and Gabby read the horror-satire novel Lullaby by Chuck Palahniuk.

He said: “Reading is different than any other consumption of media, it takes more effort than staring at a screen half alive, it allows you to use your brain rather than melt it, and there is no author more stimulation to me than Chuck Palahniuk.”

Lullaby, published in 2002, tells the story of journalist Carl Streator, who is writing an article about crib death when he notices a strange connection between the deaths of the babies and those of his own wife and infant.

He then finds out that his wife and child had died after he read them a “culling song” from a book.

Streator unintentionally memorizes the rhyme and becomes a serial killer who kills people over minor annoyances.

Laundrie also appears to be a big fan of Palahniuk’s novel Rant.

The book, released in 2007, is told in the form of an oral biography and is centered around a high school rebel, Rant Casey, and another character named Green Taylor Simms.

In its synopsis, the book is described as “a mind-bending vision of the future, as only Chuck Palahniuk could ever imagine.”

‘A LOVE OF DARKNESS’

Laundrie wrote on Instagram: “The f**king craziest out of all of Chuck’s books on my shelf, I can’t fathom how he must have written this one! I’d love to preach all of the insane twists and turns but all I can say is that I’ll never forget the name, Rant Casey. Or Green Taylor Simms.

Laundrie’s Pinterest profile also contained several posts that referred to darks, ghosts, crime, and witchcraft.

In one post, the fugitive saved an image of the definition of nyctophilia – a “love of darkness or night, finding relaxation or comfort in the darkness.”

And, in an album titled “bleak”, Laundrie saved an image of a “Witchcraft moon phase magic pocket guide” listed for sale on Etsy.

The book description reads: “Are you a Witch? A fan of Magick? Interested in the unexplainable, the occult? If the answer is yes, then these ‘Pocket Guides for Witches’ are for you!”

Another image, saved to a folder titled “My Heart”, shows a skeleton head holding a needle in one hand a balloon in the other.

The text next to the spooky figure says: “You do it to yourself. And that’s what really hurts.”

And, the words “My Baby” are written on the gravestone in one post on the chilling Pinterest board.

Laundrie was reported missing on September 17 – days after allegedly telling his parents Chris and Roberta that he was going for a hike in the Carlton Reserve.

The 25,000-acre park, located in Sarasota, Florida, is home to alligators, snakes, panthers, and hogs.

Meanwhile, his fiancée Gabby Petito was found dead on September 19 in Wyoming – a week after she was reported missing by her family.

Laundrie returned to Florida on September 1 without the 22-year-old vlogger.

He shared a Ford Transit van with Gabby as they toured across America’s midwest.

The fugitive remains at large but former FBI detective Jennifer Coffindaffer thinks he is alive.

She told NewsNationNow: “I believe he’s going to be able to hide in his surroundings. I think he’s a learned outdoorsman and survivalist and because of that I think he will be able to stay out of law enforcement’s grasp for a while.”

Meanwhile, survivalists appear skeptical that Laundrie will be able to survive in the wilderness for a long period of time.

Robert Urban told CNN: “Florida’s climate is very, very difficult. I’m an expert with plenty of experience and it would be everything that I could do to survive for (more) than three weeks.

“Someone with no experience, you cannot be lucky and survive in that sort of climate.”
