Meanwhile, the Giants running back Saquon Barkley suffered a sprained ankle in the 20-44 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. He had to be carted off the field. However, his post-match scans revealed that his injury is not serious. He is only expected to miss 2-3 games on the trot for New York.

@Jayronkearse8 despite the rivalry and how ugly this game got, shout out to Kearse for running over to grab Daniel Jones before anyone else did…pure class young man! #jayronkearse #TogetherBlue pic.twitter.com/4LBLBX4cJE

However, the same can’t be true for teammate and Giants QB Daniel Jones. The youngster absorbed a helmet-to-helmet hit in a collision with Cowboys linebacker Jabril Cox. He had to be replaced and was helped to a cart, then driven to the locker room.

There is no clear timeframe for his return. Jones will definitely have to clear the NFL concussion protocol before returning to the football field.
