NBA Rumors: Sixers Can Target James Harden, Not Kyrie Irving
The Brooklyn Nets have hit a massive speed bump over the past few days. Ahead of what was looking like a rocking season for them, they are now under threat of losing some key players. Last year, injuries cost Steve Nash’s men a place in the finals. This time around, they had a fully fit squad awaiting them, including James Harden, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and others. But if the recent reports are anything to go by, their superstar trio may well be reduced to a solo.

In the off-season, the Nets worked towards developing a full strength squad. However, owing to some personal reasons, star guard Kyrie Irving has created some conflicts with the management. After four outings with the franchise, the 29-year-old is likely to be shown the doors soon. Although Kyrie received the support of his teammates, the team has made it official that they cannot allow him to continue if he does not change his decision. And now, ‘The Beard’ is also being hunted.
Philadelphia 76ers reportedly eyeing James Harden
If Brooklyn was to lose out on Irving, we cannot say how enthusiastic the rest of the squad will be. There will be loads of unrest created, which could open the doors for fellow franchises. And according to leading analyst and reporter Stephen A. Smith, the Sixers are interested in snatching Harden away from Brooklyn.
According to @stephenasmith, Daryl Morey is monitoring Harden’s situation in BK

Since they are set to lose out on experienced campaigner Ben Simmons, Philly requires reinforcements. And Stephen A. believes that 76ers President Daryl Morey is keeping a close eye on 32-year-old Harden. “Now you might lose James Harden because Daryl Morey is lurking in Philadelphia. Don’t think for one second that Daryl Morey ain’t trying to get his hands on James Harden. I’m telling you what I know.” If both Harden and Kyrie were to leave, it would leave veteran Durant high and dry.

If the Philadelphia 76ers manage to sign James Harden, they will most certainly become title contenders. On the other hand, the Nets will not let go that easily. Will the trio’s bond shine through, and can fans witness them on court together? Let’s wait and watch.
