First, there was Towie, then there was Made in Chelsea, and now we’re heading south of the Thames for a new reality show called Peckham’s Finest.

Based in the arty and vibrant pocket of South London, this new ‘observational reality’ show will follow the lives of 10 residents and business owners from Peckham.

Accompanying the core cast will of course be some of their friends and family as well as other business owners and local celebrities.

Leading our exploration of the neighbourhood will be fashionista and social media star Queen MoJo, who already has over 87,000 followers on her Instagram.

Artist duo the Flag Twins, aka Kevin and Karl, who call themselves the Dukes of Peckham in their Instagram bio, are also joining the show.

Choreographer and personal trainer Gilly also already has a sizable 10K followers online, as does model and student Isla Loba.

The cast also includes a DJ, a BMX competitor and a baker, respectively Mark Ashley-Dupe, Tre and Shanice.

Radio host Teeshow and boutique owner Chanel round out the show.

We will first see this lot on ITV and ITC Hub next week, with the show’s official premiere date being set for October 20.

‘This is a project we are all hugely excited to be making,’ said commissioning editor for ITV Peter Tierney.

‘With a truly authentic, unique and diverse cast, the series will reflect life in Peckham in a way that our viewers can engage with and relate to. It promises stories full of warmth, humour and drama, told in a really contemporary way.’

When first announcing the show, the broadcaster said Peckham’s Finest is aiming to ‘bring a brand new, exciting and fresh approach that will reimagine the genre for today’s tech-savvy TV viewers, and reflect the real life of the cast, combining filming with content from their social media.’

Produced by the minds behind The Masked Singer, Paul Mortimer, ITV’s head of digital channels and acquisitions, said, ‘Peckham’s Finest marks an exciting new direction’ for the channel.

Peckham’s Finest launches on October 20 on ITV2.
