He is a big player, we have many people here who know him well. He was a key player for this club now he plays for Real Madrid,” said Abramovich.

In terms of finalizing the deal, Chelsea are not ready to offer more than £34 million for the player. Although he is a generational player, Hazard is into his 30s and may not be worth more than the suggested figure. Moreover, his inconsistent form at the Santiago Bernabeu would be a factor in this deal. With the likes of Vinicius Júnior and Rodrygo rising through the ranks, Madrid would be willing to let him leave.
