“We Need Fights Like That” – Eddie Hearn Lauds Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury

The hardcore boxing fans always have huge expectations from the heavyweight roster. This is because the big men roll out fiery fights with some stupendous knockouts. Also, even if their fights go the distance, these heavyweights make sure to go all out against their rivals in all the rounds. That said, the Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder fight was just the contest everyone wanted to see on the messed-up heavy roster.

In their WBC title clash on October 9, both the men put on a show worth the wait, making this fight one of the best heavyweight contests of all time.

Although Fury won this high-voltage encounter, Wilder left the ring with some new fans. Recently, the Matchroom head, Eddie Hearn, opened up on this fight and Fury’s performance.

Speaking to The Mac Life Official, he said, ”Technically it was all over the shop but who cares? The drama was unbelievable. Massive credit to both fighters.. It was brilliant for boxing and the heavyweight division because we need fights like that. I wanted Fury to win. Props to both guys and massive congratulations for Fury because it was a great win.”

Fury dropped Wilder in round 3 of the fight and ‘The Bronze Bomber’ secured knockdowns of his own in round 4. However, ‘The Gypsy King’ had the last laugh as Wilder couldn’t get back up after he took a clean hit in round 11.

Prior to this fight, a huge chunk of fans expected ‘The Gypsy King’ to get an easy win in this fight. However, Deontay Wilder had some other plans.

‘The Bronze Bomber’ made sure to make this fight as tough as he could for Fury. As a result, both the men faced adversities inside the squared circle. However, it was Fury who was the better man on fight night.
