“Boxing Needed That Fight” – UFC President Dana White Reacts to Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder 3

Last weekend, Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder locked horns with each other in a massive trilogy war. In this fight, Wilder entered the ring as a challenger, looking to dethrone the Brit and reclaim his WBC title.

The 11 round battle was a titanic affair that saw both champion and challenger earn respect. With their grit and determination, they gave the fans a fight that lived up to the hype.

Dana White opened up on this iconic war at a Dana White’s Contender Series press event. He said, “Boxing needed that fight. It was an incredible heavyweight fight, both guys fought their a**es off… Exactly what boxing needed.”

Before this fight took place, many believed Fury would come out even more aggressively and finish Wilder inside 5 rounds. But the Alabama native had other ideas.

In round 3, Fury dropped his foe, but Wilder dropped ‘The Gypsy King’ twice in the subsequent round. Unfortunately, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ couldn’t maximize on the same as he ended up getting caught by a vicious right hand from Fury in round 11.
