Britney Spears has seemingly taken a dig at her sister Jamie Lynn’s upcoming memoir, after the star changed its title.

The Zoey 101 actress previously sparked a backlash in July when it was reported she planned to release an autobiography called I Must Confess – which is a lyric from her older sister’s hit single …Baby One More Time.

Now she’s revealed it is called Things I Should Have Said.

However, in an apparent reference to her sibling’s new tome, Britney – who hasn’t held back her criticisms of her family amid her conservatorship battle – shared her own ‘plans’ to release a book.

She wrote on Instagram following Jamie Lynn’s news: ‘Great news … I’m thinking of releasing a book next year.’

Britney then added in a cheeky note: ‘But I’m having issues coming up with a title so maybe my fans could help !!!! Option 1, “S***, I really don’t know”… Option 2… “I really care what people think” !!!!’

Fans found Britney’s subtle dig hilarious, with one chiming in the comments with their own suggestion: ‘The things my sister shouldn’t have said.’

Another joked: ‘Queen of shading your sister,’ as another suggested shots had been fired.

Jamie Lynn recently revealed she began working on the book – which will be released in January 2022 – after her daughter Maddie, now 13, was involved in a near-fatal ATV accident in 2017 and she’s promised to be ‘painfully honest’ in the tome.

She wrote: ‘I can’t believe I finally finished writing my book!!!

‘THINGS I SHOULD HAVE SAID has been in the works for quite a longggg time now. Back In 2017, after Maddie’s life changing accident, I felt a strong conviction to share my story, but there was a lot of personal work and healing that had to happen before I could share my truth the proper way.

‘I’ve spent my whole life believing that I had to pretend to be perfect, even when I wasn’t, so for the first time I am opening up about my own mental health, because this process challenged me to have to be painfully honest with myself, and face a lot of hard things, that I normally would have just glossed right over, like I was taught to.

‘I owe it to myself, my younger self, and to my daughters to be an example that you should never edit yourself or your truth to please anyone else. (sic)’

She continued: ‘I know I still have ALOT of learning to do, but I feel like finishing this book gave me closure on this “30 year long” chapter of my life, and hopefully helps anyone else out there who forgot their worth, lost their voice, or is trying to break an unhealthy cycle in their life…’

It comes after Toxic hitmaker Britney hit out at her sibling directly amid the bitter battle over her conservatorship, which was, until recently, helmed by her father Jamie Spears.

Britney criticised her sister for performing her songs, writing in part on Instagram: ‘I don’t like that my sister showed up at an awards show and performed MY SONGS to remixes !!!!!. My so-called support system hurt me deeply !!!!’

She also wrote in reference to her family on social media: ‘I suggest if you have a friend that’s been in a house that feels really small for four months … no car … no phone … no door for privacy and they have to work around 10 hours a day 7 days a week and give tons of blood weekly with never a day off… I strongly suggest you go pick up your friend and get them the hell outta there!!!!!’

Britney continued: ‘If you’re like my family who says things like “sorry, you’re in a conservatorship” … probably thinking you’re different so they can f**k with you!!!!

‘Thankfully I found an amazing attorney Mathew Rosengart who has helped change my life!!!!’
