Why did Kixstar leave pro league?

AFTER turning his career as a gamer into a successful commentating platform, gamer Michael “KiXSTAr” Stockley passed away at 24.

On October 13, 2021, his family announced that Stockley had passed away “unexpectedly” on Monday, October 11.

“He had so much planned for the future, and he was looking forward to working with so many of you,” his family wrote in their statement.

His mother Carol and stepfather Thomas added: “We are grateful for the love and support that we have experienced from so many of you.”

“Keep it going, pay it forward, and keep lifting each other up,” the statement concluded.

Rainbow Six Esports also shared their grief regarding the gaming star’s passing, saying: “We send our deepest condolences to Michael Stockley’s family during this difficult time.”

What is Pro League?

ESL Pro League is an esports company that hosts online and in-person competitive play.

The league hosts broadcasts of world-champion gamers playing the titles Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

In each season, teams compete for spots in an offline tournament, which is held at a different venue every year.

Along with the players who made up each team, Pro League is also known for its talent pool of casters and commentators.

Was KiXSTAr part of the Pro League cast?

KiXSTAr was most known for his connection to the game Rainbow Six Siege.

First, he was a player for Team Orbit, starting there in 2016.

When KiXSTAr began commentating for Rainbow Six Siege, he was only 19.

He became a caster in October of that same year.

KiXSTAr’s first event as a commentator was in Rainbow Six Pro League year one, season three.

Why did KiXSTAr leave Pro League?

KiXSTAr stepped away from Pro League to focus on other work as a commentator and caster.

He amassed a devoted fan base on the streaming platform Twitch, where he had over 444,000 followers.

The young esports star cast global Rainbow Six events, including the Six Invitational and the Six Mexico Major.

He was also a part of the North American League broadcast.
