Alice Evans has accused her estranged husband Ioan Gruffudd of ‘ghosting’ her for 10 months after filing for divorce.
The 50-year-old actress announced back in January that actor Gruffudd, 48, had ‘left his family’ after being married to Evans for 13 years.
102 Dalmatians star Evans took to Twitter to share an alleged email from the Welsh star with regards to his time with their children, and alleged she hasn’t ‘spoken to my husband in 9 months (his choice)’.
Evans, who shares daughters Ella, 12, and Elsie, eight, with her ex tweeted: ‘I am not proud of myself for sharing this. But please know it wasn’t a calculated move, it was an act of desperation. There is only so much the human spirit can take. And I have been living like this, alone, in a pandemic, for 9 months.
‘I still don’t know why the love of my life and my best friend suddenly decided to end our marriage and then ghost me. I know my reaction to his initial announcement was not calm or dignified in any way.
‘I did my fair share of crying, screaming, accusing. I begged and begged for at least some sort of running discussion, for the kids sake. That’s my way of reacting to such a life-changing event.
‘So he ghosted me. I have been ghosted for almost 10 months now.’

In replies to followers, Evans alleged Gruffudd was ‘devoid of empathy’, and tweeted: ‘He was my best friend, my lover, my brother, the person I looked up to more than anybody else.
‘I can understand his feelings changed. What I don’t understand is why he chose to do it in such a hateful way.’
She added: ‘20 years together. He was away for 80% of our kids lives but I didn’t mind giving up my career in acting because I was so invested in his.
‘Then, a year ago, he returned from NZ and almost at the door he told me “I don’t love you any more”.’
Liar star Gruffudd has yet to speak out on his split from his wife, bar a statement from both parties shared last January which read: ‘As you can imagine, this is an incredibly difficult time for our family and we remain committed to our children. Thank you for respecting our privacy.’
Gruffudd filed for divorce from his wife in March, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason behind their split.

The document, which was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on March 1, revealed the former couple separated on New Year’s Day – a month before Evans went public with their split.
The pair met on the set of the 2000 film 102 Dalmatians, when Evans was engaged to Olivier Picasso, the great-grandson of Pablo Picasso.
Following the actress’s split from Picasso, Evans began dating Gruffudd, and in 2007, they tied the knot in Mexico after Gruffudd was given an ‘ultimatum’.

The Fantastic Four actor told the Independent: ‘Alice has been very patient with my procrastinating with my male ways!
‘She did give me somewhat of an ultimatum – a gentle nudge – which was the best thing she could do, really.’
Metro.co.uk has contacted Gruffudd’s rep for comment.
