Greg Wise has opened up about his wife Dame Emma Thompson getting ‘anxious’ over his performance on the show.
The actor, who’s partnered up with Karen Hauer, has been having a blast and is supported in a big way by his wife, who’s made various appearances on the show.
But we might be about to see a whole lot more of her.
‘Em’s become so anxious that she feels she has to be there every Saturday in the studio,’ Greg revealed.
‘She’s going to camouflage herself and pretend to be someone from the sound department,’ he quipped.
Dame Emma has been the most supportive wife as Greg took to the dance floor, with the actress even showing off her moves with Karen while he took a break in rehearsal.
The Love Actually star couldn’t wait to get stuck in, with Karen showing her some steps from her upcoming routine with Greg.

‘I got to show her a couple of steps and she was actually pretty good!’ Karen told the camera.
She smiled as she went on to joke: ‘She’s doing exactly what I ask Greg to do and he’s not doing.’
Of course, those watching at home were quickly taken by the prospect of national treasure Dame Emma trying out the dance with pro Karen and called for her to have a stint on the show in the future.
Now that we would love to see.

And neither of the couple are too worried about a Strictly ‘curse’ with Greg joking that the pair ‘haven’t got the energy’.
‘We’re 26 years in now, I think any of that kind of shenanigans – we’re too old, we haven’t got the energy,’ he said.
‘I’ve just the energy to do a step-ball change, I can’t do anything else, really.’

Meanwhile, after it was announced that Robert Webb has been forced to drop out of the series over his health, Greg heaped praise on his co-star.
‘It takes immense courage,’ he explained, adding that Robert is ‘doubly brave’ – first for agreeing to take part in Strictly, and then for knowing when it was time for him to stop.
Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV. Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One on Saturday at 7pm.
