Terence Crawford Doubtful About Errol Spence Jr.’s Health

Terence Crawford will face Shawn Porter on November 20 for his WBO belt defense at the Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas.

Ahead of this fiery battle, the question about his most sought-after fight came up. It was no secret that Crawford pursued a fight against Errol Spence Jr. The two fighters went back and forth at each other, but just could not finalize a deal for the fight. ‘Bud’ now seems concerned about ‘The Truth’.

Terence Crawford on Errol Spence: “I don’t feel like our fight should’ve took that long. He’s gotten two injuries since. Who knows if Errol Spence will ever be the same fighter that he once was when he was considered the boogeyman of the division?” [@DAZNBoxing Show]

Per Michael Benson, Crawford said, “I don’t feel like our fight should’ve took that long. He’s gotten two injuries since. Who knows if Errol Spence will ever be the same fighter that he once was when he was considered the boogeyman of the division?” He also spoke about how he pursued the fight, however, it was Errol Spence Jr. that really did not want the fight.

Per BoxingScene, he said, “You know, I felt like I did everything that I possibly can do, you know, to try to make that fight happen. You know, and for some odd reason, you know, everybody kept saying, ‘Oh, I’m chasing him. I’m this and I’m that.’ Yeah, I was chasing him. You know? And he don’t want the fight. He was saying he wanted the fight, but he really didn’t want the fight. You know? And my thing was just if you wanted the fight, you could’ve made the fight happen.”

Terence Crawford will finally face an elite opponent

Crawford’s biggest criticism, according to fans and boxing analysts, is that he does not fight top opposition. However, all that is set to change as ‘Bud’s most telling test as welterweight champ is just a couple of weeks away. When he steps into the ring against the former two-time champion, Shawn Porter, the WBO welterweight king Crawford, will finally get the super fight he has so desperately craved.
