Most Twitter fans blasted back at ‘Funky’, saying that Joe is not a journalist. Well, technically, he is a journalist. Since Joe Rogan is a commentator and an interviewer for the UFC, he falls under the category of journalism.

Although he is far different from a traditional journalist, he still is one. ‘Funky saw the comments and put out a screenshot of the word ‘journalist’.

Joe Rogan career as a journalist

Approximately nineteen years ago, Joe Rogan began his career as a UFC commentator. Rogan, a lifelong fight fan, debuted as a commentator at UFC 37.5, which featured a light heavyweight title bout between Chuck Liddell and Vitor Belfort. Over time, he has reduced his desk appearances and has only commentated at numbered PPVs in the USA.

Rogan is still one of the finest at what he does. He is one of the most knowledgeable about the MMA industry and is widely regarded as one of the greatest UFC commentators of all time.
