“I Ain’t Got a Contract”- Nate Diaz Confirms His Next Fight in December 2021

Nate Diaz is without a doubt one of the biggest names in the UFC. The Stockton native commands the attention of fights fans every time he steps into a UFC octagon, resulting in big business for both himself and the UFC. However, over the past few years, Diaz has been sporadic with his appearances inside the octagon.

Thankfully for fight fans, it appears as though the younger Diaz brother is all set to change that by fighting twice in a calendar year for the first time since 2019. Diaz has stated multiple times that he wants to fight in December. His opponent of choice is Vicente Luque, who is ranked #4 in the UFC’s welterweight division.

Diaz took to Twitter recently to take shots at Luque. He said, “I ain’t got a contract. It must be something wrong wit luque.” Diaz continued, “I’m fight somebody.”

‘The Silent Assassin’ responded to the same saying, “You know I’m in from day one! I’ve never backed up from a fight and I’m not gonna start now!! We can do it when and where you want I’m ready.” Luque continued, “I’ll raise my offer we can go as many rounds as you want and let’s make it an all stand up war no take downs allowed! #FOTY.”

Nate Diaz vs Vicente Luque- an overview

A Nate Diaz fight will most definitely be on a PPV event for the UFC. The promotion has just one PPV event scheduled for December at the moment. UFC 269 will be headlined by Dustin Poirier and Charles Oliveira as they fight it out for lightweight supremacy. The rest of the card is also stacked with some incredible fight and adding Diaz to it would just make it all the more exciting.

Nate Diaz’s last fight against Leon Edwards was the first fight to be scheduled for five rounds that was not the main event or a title fight. In all likelihood, the fight against Luque will also be a five-round affair. It will be an exciting fight between two fighters who are known to give it their absolute all every time they step into a UFC octagon.
