Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges is doing his part to help inspire and educate the next generation with his new Netflix series, Karma’s World.

Taking inspiration from some of the life lessons his eldest daughter Karma Christine Bridges had to learn during her childhood, the famous rapper has created an impactful animated series to teach children that ‘you are never too young to change the world.’

The episodes center on Karma Grant, a young aspiring rapper who’s started middle school and learns to stay true to herself through her music while dealing with new challenges.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk about how the inspiring project came to be, the 44-year-old confirmed that he had the idea for the project 14 years ago when his daughter expressed her interest in becoming a rapper.

The father-of-four stated: ‘We came up with this idea about a girl finding her voice and trying to change the world through music.

‘Now it’s launching around the world… We couldn’t be more proud because it’s gonna have a lot of young girls, and just children in general, feeling like they are not alone.’

The Rollout rapper continued: ‘A lot of episodes are based on things that happened in Karma’s real life. For example, there’s an episode based on her being proud of her hair and having different textured hair.’

The Fast and Furious actor explained becoming a parent made him eager to create a series that would speak to young children.

He stated: ‘Whenever you become a parent then you automatically start thinking about the next generation.

‘The whole reason that I did this show is to inspire and motivate people to be the next leaders and or the next great artist. I think that’s a whole new purpose in my lif,e outside of me being a good dad to my children. This is exactly what I set forth to do. I know it’s going to create a lot of good.’

The Get Back rapper – who voices Karma’s father in the series – added: ‘I have all daughters and it’s changed me for the better. I want to not only help my daughters out with their self-expression but to help all daughters and sons around the world, and even parents at this point.’

The chart-topper has also made sure that the music created for the show will be available on an accompanying soundtrack so Karma’s messages can be enjoyed at any time.

‘There’s not really been much great kids music out there, in my opinion. This stuff can compete against what’s on the Billboard 100 charts,’ he explained.

Karma’s World is available on Netflix, while the soundtrack is out now.
