Congratulations are in order for Lance Bass, who has become a dad for the first time.
The former NSYNC star has welcomed twins with husband Michael Turchin by surrogate.
The 42-year-old announced the arrival of daughter Violet Betty and son Alexander James on Instagram by sharing their birth certificates, complete with prints of their tiny feet.
Lance wrote: ‘The baby dragons have arrived!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I can not express how much love I feel right now. Thank you for all the kind wishes. It meant a lot. Now, how do you change a diaper??! Ahhhhhhhh!’
The certificates revealed the twins were born on October 13, with Violet arriving one minute after her brother, and Alexander weighed 4 pounds 14 ounces, with his sister weighing 4 pounds 11ounces.
The babies were born at the St Joseph Medical Centre in Tacoma, Washington.
Friends and fans shared their congratulations under the post, including model Tess Holliday, who commented: ‘Congrats angel!’
Lance and Michael, 34, had announced they were expecting twins back in June, having endured a difficult road to parenthood.
Last year, the couple’s surrogate miscarried; it had been their ninth attempt at IVF.
Lance told People: ‘Because of what we’ve been through the last four years, we were very cautious to get excited. And it kind of sucks because when you find out you’re pregnant, you want to celebrate with your family.

‘You start planning their future in your head already, but we were so scared because we didn’t want to go through the pain again of losing them. We told our friends and family about the ninth week, when we finally felt comfortable. You think you’re going to jinx it or something.’
Lance and Michael each fertilised one of the embryos.
The Bye Bye Bye singer came out publicly as gay in 2006 and began dating Michael in 2012, with the couple tying the knot in December 2014.
