Ore Oduba and his wife Portia have welcomed their baby daughter into the world and given her a very sweet, slightly magic name.

Presenter and former Strictly Come Dancing champion Ore, 35, already has a three-year-old son, Roman, with TV researcher Portia, to whom he has been married since 2015.

The couple announced their pregnancy with an interview in Hello! magazine in May, where TV star Ore reflected on the news and said: ‘This is the life I’ve always dreamt of.’

Today, the pair took to Instagram in co-ordinated posts to announce their new bundle of joy.

Alongside a picture of his daughter holding on to his little finger with her fist, revealing just a sliver of her cheek and a shock of brown hair, Ore wrote: ‘Been dreaming about you… Welcome, Genie 💞 our perfect little girl.’

It’s unclear whether or not the former Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins contestant meant to reference the classic 1960s US sitcom I Dream of Jeannie as his daughter’s namesake, which tells the story of a 2,000-year-old genie who falls in love with an astronaut.

The star also revealed her birth date as Friday October 15, and shared a black and white shot of her little feet.

Meanwhile Portia shared a monochrome shot of both her and Ore holding hands with newborn Genie, posting: ‘Our baby girl… 💗 You’ve completed us Genie Oduba..’

Plenty of Ore’s extended Strictly family posted their well wishes below the announcement, with current contestant Ugo Monye, who is being forced to sit this week of the competition out, commenting: ‘Congratulations guys ❤️’

The show’s pros also congratulated the couple, with Amy Dowden writing: ‘Massive congratulations to your beautiful family 💖’

‘Congrats to both of you!!!❤️ all the love to the familia’, said Gorka Marquez.

Ore’s partner on the show Joanne Clifton was also excited for their new arrival.

‘Can’t deal !!!! Congratulations all of you Odubas ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,’ she wrote.

In September, Ore shared a photo of a torch design tattoo he had inked with his son’s name, following his challenging experiences on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, which he said left him experiencing ‘an element of PTSD following the show’.

Revealing the source of his tttoo’s inspiration, Ore said that the programme’s chief instructor Ant Middleton had ‘said a lot of things – not all of them nice, but all of them fair’.

Writing on Instagram, the 35-year-old added: ‘He compared me to a torch… the longer you hold it, he said, the brighter it shines.

‘From that moment EVERYTHING changed! In one sentence Ant had not only summed up that day, that week but SO much of my life.

‘The man changed my entire outlook. I realised, with my family as my inspiration, I don’t need to wait for my torch to shine.

‘This tattoo acts as a daily reminder of my inner strength and to never let anyone dim my light. To always shine my torch bright. You don’t need to lift a fuel barrel to realise that. I LOVE it.’
