AEW World Champion Kenny Omega looks to have freshened up his look and got rid of his eye-catching facial hair.

The so-called belt collector, widely regarding as one of the best wrestlers in the world today, caused quite a stir when he debuted his mutton chops but now they’re a thing of the past.

In a tweet shared by Alex Jebailey, Omega can be seen doing an interview for an upcoming CEO Gaming documentary, and his clean-shaven profile is on display.

It’s been a busy year for Omega, and recently he’s made headlines for his dream match with former WWE superstar Bryan Danielson.

The longest-reigning AEW World Champion in the company’s history faces a tough challenge for the gold at next month’s Full Gear pay-per-view as he faces ‘Hangman’ Adam Page.

The hugely popular star earned his opportunity when he returned as the Joker to win the Casino Ladder Match, and many fans feel this might be his time to take the title.

Had @TheBesteban (support his great content!) over today recording interviews for a @CEOGaming documentary. Just love his work ethic and amazing questions. Had Kenny talking about our wrestling/#FGC crossovers over the years.

Omega has earned a fantastic reputation as one of the greats, which was cemented when he was ranked number one in the world on this year’s PWI 500 list.

He insisted while he’s ‘very competitive’, he doesn’t have any problem acknowledging someone else as the ‘the best’ – but that doesn’t mean he takes the praise lightly.

‘I don’t like to say that I’m the best. I’m able to accept if I’m not, and I’d rather someone else be,’ he told the PWI Podcast. ‘But when people bestow this name upon me, or they have this expectation of me, I never want to let people down.’

He also noted there was plenty of competition for the number one spot, and insisted any of his main competitors would have been worthy.

He added: ‘I feel that, up until his unfortunate injury, number one could have been Will Ospreay. Number one could have easily been Shingo Takagi.

‘Number one could have easily been Roman Reigns. Everyone had such a strong year. So I feel, depending on who you are and what you like in professional wrestling, you know, maybe that’s your number one.’
