Jorge Masvidal’s Thundering Knee to Chris Jericho Secures ATT’s Win Over the Inner Circle
The storyline between Chris Jericho, The Inner Circle, The Men of the Year, and American Top Team continues to unfold in AEW. ATT’s founder Dan Lambert brought forward his proteges in Junior Dos Santos, Jorge Masvidal, Paige Van Zant, Austin Vanderford to the ring.
The clash between The Men of the Year and The Inner Circle also saw the in-ring debut of former UFC champion Junior Dos Santos. The fight was extremely impressive and produced interesting spots and moments.
What could have been the defining moment of Inner Circle’s strength turned into their worst moment. Jericho was at his vintage best and was about to secure the win, but Masvidal foiled their plans by delivering a flying knee to secure ATT’s win.

Jorge Masvidal could face Chris Jericho in a future matchup
The ongoing feud has turned ugly for the veteran professional wrestler. Chris has seen the highest highs and the lowest lows in his time in the ring. His recent run-in with the ATT’s roster has produced some of the lowest moments for the legendary wrestler. ‘Gamebred’s blistering flying knee has already produced a record-breaking knockout in UFC.

At AEW, Jericho has been at the receiving end of two flying knees that have affected him significantly. In the first instance, ‘Gamebred’ rendered Chris incapacitated for well over a week. In tonight’s matchup, fans didn’t get to see them trade blows, but the match-up could take place in a future pay-per-view.
Full Gear might see the end of ATT vs Inner Circle’s storyline
AEW’s next major PPV, Full Gear, which is right around the corner, will definitely offer a range of amazing matchups. The promotion has already lined up a fantastic AEW world title match between Kenny Omega and Hangman Adam Page.
