WWE SmackDown: Bianca Belair helps Sasha Banks beat Becky Lynch before Crown Jewel

Bianca Belair cost Becky Lynch the win on SmackDown in a fantastic main event days before WWE Crown Jewel.

In a preview of sorts for the upcoming SmackDown Women’s Championship Triple Threat for the Saudi Arabia show, The Man faced off with Sasha Banks in non-title action as part of a commercial-free, 30-minute overrun on Friday night.

It’s no surprise Lynch and the Legit Boss delivered something special between the ropes, with the stars – both members of the Four Horsewomen along with Charlotte Flair and Bayley – proved why they’re two of the best in the world.

Despite facing stiff competition from Bryan Danielson and Minoru Suzuki, who clashed on the Buy In for AEW Rampage earlier in the evening, Becky and Sasha put on a great main event and possibly the best match of the night.

The case can be made for either bout, and the main takeaway here is the high quality action on display for both shows, making this a fascinating time to be a wrestling fan.

In a surprising move, Lynch actually lost on Friday – a rarity since becoming one of WWE’s biggest stars – although she has the excuse of Belair getting involved.

The EST of WWE was on commentary with Michael Cole and Pat McAfee to hype up Crown Jewel, watching her opponents weaken themselves with less than a week to go.

Lynch actually tapped out before the match even ended, but she was locked in the Bank Statement outside the ring, so the action continued.

In the end, Bianca used her hair to whip Becky’s hand, which left the door open for a Backstabber and the win for Banks.

Fans also saw Liv Morgan cost Carmella in the semi-final of the Queen’s Crown tournament, and Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss were interrupted on Happy Talk by Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs.
