Activision Reassures Fans About the Call of Duty Anti-Cheat System Despite the Rumored Leak

After the recent leak, Activision has reassured fans about the Call of Duty Ricochet anti-cheat system. Activision has revealed that the anti-cheat system which will be implemented in Warzone and Vanguard later this year is all good and there is nothing to worry about. And, now, finally, after what seems like ages, it looks like Warzone players who do not use any kind of cheat have an actual chance to win their games.

Cheating and the lack of a good anti-cheat system have been two major issues in Warzone. The immense popularity of Call of Duty: Warzone brought more attention to this cheating issue, especially when popular streamers and creators bemoaned the lack of a good anti-cheat system in the game.

The upcoming new anti-cheat system was announced recently on 13 October 2021, and it is a new effort to tackle a variety of evolving problems.

Call of Duty Warzone: new anti-cheat system is a multifaced approach to combat cheating

Ricochet is a “multifaced approach to combat cheating” that majorly focuses on enhanced investigation processes to stamp out cheaters. Along with server-side tools that carefully monitor players’ analytics to identify the hack or cheat. Players have to install Richocet in order to play Call of Duty Warzone on PC after the system’s debut. However, all this monitoring and free-from-cheating gameplay come at a cost: Richocet will have unfettered access to your system.

On 15 October 2021, Activision tweeted an update about Ricochet and highlighted the point that it is “testing the hell out of” the upcoming anti-cheat system before it goes live in Warzone first. Activision also shared the news that the responses have been great this week for the anti-cheat system (Ricochet). The system will first launch in Warzone before joining Vanguard later.
