Brandon Brown Reacts to Heartbreaking Crash at Texas Motor Speedway

At the Texas Motor Speedway, Brandon Brown endured a rough day in the office. The #68 driver brought out the race’s 10th caution when he spun on the exit of the corner and slid towards the infield. From there, he buried his car’s nose into the wall, and that spelled the end of his race.

Naturally, he was gutted for his loss and practically kicking himself. In the end, he was classified 33rd on the track in a 40-car field. Since he is not in the Playoff running, he has nothing to lose from this crash, but it was still disappointing for him. His poor run comes on the back of a maiden Xfinity Series win at the Talladega Superspeedway, but finished 22nd at the next race.

How did the race play out for Brandon Brown?

The crash occurred with 28 laps left on the scoreboard and he was running 16th at the time. At that time, it would have been his best finish in the Playoff stage, apart from that shock win. Truthfully speaking, it was a hefty whack on the #68 Chevrolet and it wrecked the front suspension. Replays showed that his car lost control and nearly clipped the outside wall.

As he fought the car to get it back under control, the car slithered into the wall, and that was all it wrote. The good news was that he was able to walk away, largely unscathed. However, the bad news was that it definitely dented his personal pride, as he later attested on Twitter.

He confessed that the crash was fairly ’embarrassing’. Brandon Brown was especially furious with himself, because he was in with a shot at a Top 10. It was even more gutting for him since he had the pace. Even though he picked up a speeding penalty, he tried his hardest to make up for it. Sadly, he fell afoul of the resin on Turn one, and there was nothing he could do to rescue it.
