Crazy Trade Idea Moves Kyle Lowry to Solve Ben Simmons-Kyrie Irving Turmoil
The NBA off-season might have seen a plethora of moves so far, but despite the market being a bit dormant now, the league media machine hasn’t stopped. Two players have been dominating these headlines for a while now, Ben Simmons and Kyrie Irving.
After a forgivable performance in the playoffs and seeing his co-star and coach publicly blame him, it was understandable why Simmons is desperate to move away from Philly. Failing to show up for training camp and pre-season games, and then suddenly returning to Philly, the Australian’s trade saga has taken multiple twists and turns so far.
Kyrie Irving meanwhile has had other reasons for being absent. Failing to comply with New York’s vaccination laws, Kyrie currently is ineligible to make an appearance in home games. Given his unavailability, Irving is not being considered as a full-time player and his future with the club looks very uncertain.

Crazy Ben Simmons and Kyrie Irving trade scenario an answer?
Given the number of twists and turns the duo’s future has had, a trade seems imminent. While a straight up swap seems improbable because of the contracts and else, the involvement of a third team could be the answer.
The Miami Heat this season made some big changes to their roster as they added a probable third star in Kyle Lowry. While the veteran is seen as a great improvement on Goran Dragic and Kendrick Nunn, there is no denying that Lowry is a great trade piece for the team.
Bleacher Report’s trade idea:
Brooklyn Nets Receive: Ben Simmons, Victor Oladipo
Philadelphia 76ers Receive: Kyle Lowry, Cam Thomas, 2025 first-round pick (via MIA), 2027 first-round pick (via MIA)
Miami Heat Receive: Kyrie Irving, 2023 second-round pick (via PHI) pic.twitter.com/ZXy9jkRttz

In a recent tweet, a trade scenario was suggested around the duo of Simmons, Irving and Lowry. With Irving going to the Heat, Simmons and Victor Oladipo going to the Nets and Kyle Lowry going to the 76ers, this trade certainly is interesting to say the least.
On the surface of it, the trade seems like a win-win for all parties. Brooklyn will get a defensive minded guard like Simmons. Philly finally will have a three-point shooting point guard while Heat arguably will get an upgrade on Lowry. But these moves will come at a huge caveat as well because of involvement of multiple parties.
But considering that Miami just splashed the cash for Lowry, will they be willing to trade him? Do you think this trade is possible before the trade deadline? Let us know in the comments section down below.
